Jessica Ada Kephart, 40, was called to her spiritual home on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at home in Huntertown, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to Gregory and Pamela (DiBacco) Kephart and they survive. Jessica joined the Fort Wayne Children's Choir while in elementary school. She went on and earned a letter in Choir at Carroll High School's Select Sound. She worked as a P.T. sound tech and stage manager at KPS for high school performances for 20 years. Her love of academia showed itself, as she was 8th out of 240 plus students in her 1999 Carroll High School graduating class. Jessica earned a BS in Anthropology from Purdue University. She continued to better herself academically with multiple conferences and seminars related to her industry and certifications such as project management, as well as completion of an MSBA from University of Saint Francis. Her vacation spot of choice was Disney World, where she visited every three years. Jessica had a real love for animals, especially cats-domestic and big cat rescues and she even had her house built with a 'cat' room and porch. Her three cats, she referred to as her kids, Persephone, Archimedes and Mnemosyne miss her. Jessica worked for Hallmark for the last 13 years in numerous positions. Lastly as a business partner within the IT department and was well known for her cupcakes she enjoyed baking.
Surviving are her parents, Greg and Pam Kephart; sister, Jennifer (Rodd) Closson; grandmothers, Ruth Smith and Doris Kephart; and nephews, Logan and Dakota Closson.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Pine HIlls Church, 4704 Carroll Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46818 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
