Jimmy R. Cooper, age 59 passed away at his residence, June 25, 2009. Born in Pennington Gap, VA, he was the son of Ray and Clara (Rhoton) Cooper. He married Charlene and she and his mother survive. He was a Construction Foreman and a member of Local Union #1112 and a member of the N.R.A. His son, Shannon (Amie) Cooper, of Apache Junction, AZ, daughter, Chastity (Mitch) McGillivray, of Leo, IN, 3 Brothers, Jackie Cooper, Michael Cooper and Billy Moon; two Sisters, Betty Cox and Wanda Johnson, 7 Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive him. His father and one brother, Billy Cooper preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 29 at 1:00 pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 until time of service and burial to follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.
