Joan E. Gospodareck, 75, died Sunday February 12, 2012 at Parkview Memorial. Born December 30, 1936 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Alfred and Isabell Smith. Joan was a Registered Nurse having graduated from the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. Surviving are husband of 52 years Walter Gospodareck, Huntertown, IN, children, Judy (Stan) Jay, Ft. Wayne, IN, Dave (Paula) Gospodareck, Columbia City, IN, Mike (Dorenna) Gospodareck, Grabill, IN, sisters, Janice Smith, Marjorie Foster, grandchildren, DeAnna (Mike), Eric, Thomas (Halie), Ethan, Brooklynn, Mikaela, Matt, Adam, step-grandchildren, Angie, Heather, Jessie, great-grandson, Caleb, step-great-grandchildren, Logan, Skylar, Audrey and Stratton. She was preceded in death by a son Tommy and 2 sisters, Judith and Nancy. Services are 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 18, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Friday 1-4 & 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to: Harlan Church of Christ or St. Mary''s Soup Kitchen.
