Joan N. Shaver, 78, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday June 6, 2012. Born on May 26, 1934 in Fort Wayne to the late Milo and Katherine Rice. Joan retired in 1995. She was a member of the Three Rivers Wesleyan Church. Surviving are her husband, Vinten Shaver, children, Connie (Ted) Jackson, Gary (Shelly) Shaver, Steven (Jeanna) Shaver, Michael Shaver, grandchildren, Tammy (Devin), Amber, Heather, Nicholas along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ilene "Mickey" Munson and Sarah Rice. Services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 9, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred Memorials to Three Rivers Wesleyan Church.
