Joan K. Steinbacher, 93, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehab Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Joan was a daughter of the late John and Emma (Roemer) Disler. She married Paul G. "Porky" Steinbacher on October 02, 1948 and they shared 66 years together. Joan is survived by her son, Steve (Sharon) Steinbacher; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Joan was also preceded in death by her husband, Pauld G. "Porky" Steinbacher; daughter, Dawn Smiley; brother, John Disler; and sister Barb Weber. Funeral service 12:00pm, Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 10:30am to 12:00pm prior to the service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
