Joann L. Smith, 80, began a new life on Saturday, August 25, 2018.  Joann was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 5, 1938.  She was a loving, wife mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  All that knew her lovingly called her Mamaw.

Surviving is her husband Arvilee "Lee" Smith, granddaughters, Sarah (Jason) Bransteter, Amy (Brian) Felger, great-grandchildren, Paige, Carter, Abby, and Jacob.  Joann was preceded in death by her daughter Pam Smith on April 12, 2018.

Honoring Joann's wishes a private funeral service was held at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
