Joanne Bruce, 84, passed to her eternal life Saturday August 26, 2017. She was born February 19, 1933 in Jackson, MI to the late Joseph and Augusta Will. Joanne worked and retired as Lead Wire Cutter for G.E. for 31 years. After retirement Joanne worked for Agra-Stats for 11 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Elex Club and Quarter Century Club and past President of the West Central Neighborhood Association.

Surviving are her children, Denise (Judy Tietje) Bruce, Cheryl (Randy) Dunn, Beverly (Steve) Popov, Joseph (Tina) Bruce, 10 grandchildren, Alicia (Tim), Andrew, Andrea, Nick (Nikki), Chris (Kerry), Danielle (Michael), Brandon (Kalyn), Justin (Emily), Jordan (Heather), Austin and 12 great-grandchildren and a close family friend Carol Salge, sisters, Betty (Gary) Bailey, Shirley Echelbarger. Joanne was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Christy and 10 siblings, Dorothy Chivington, Maxine Rose, Harriette Oswald, Mary Louise Cooper, Margaret Leedy, Gordon, Richard John, Beverly, Ronald Will and sisters-in-law, Donna Will, Joanne Will.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 917 W. Jefferson Blvd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46802 with viewing 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Thomas Eggold will officiate. There will also be calling Wednesday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred memorial are to; Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Wellspring Food Bank.
