Joanne Vaughn Kratzert of Ft. Wayne, Indiana was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL April 1, 1930. She was fondly and affectionately known by family and friends as JoJo. She is survived by her husband William A. Kratzert Jr., their 6 children: William A. Kratzert III, Cindy, Bobby, Cathy, Lisa and Kim. She was also a devoted grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was a resident of Fort Wayne for 54 years and her involvement in the community was seemingly never ending. She was a member of the Anthony Wayne First Church of God, Alley Cats / Red Hats, PTA, volunteering at Lutheran Hospital, Covington Manor. Without question she was always eager to please and lived life to it''s fullest.

Her faith and devotion to God and Church were always at the top of her list. Family and friends always had her uninterrupted loyalty and support. She took time to be friendly, the road to happiness! She took time for charity, the road to heaven. She took time to pray, it is the greatest power on earth. With her position in heaven solidly in place she will be dearly missed by all of us in our time on earth.

Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Anthony Wayne Church of God 6012 S Bend Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with calling one hour prior to service. There will calling Thursday December 12, 2013 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
