John “Alec” Alexander Childers passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2026. He was born on January 15, 1977, in Fort Wayne to William and Sara Childers. He married Lisa Likens on August 22, 2018.

He enjoyed camping, spending time with his family and pets, watching movies and working on cars, especially his lowriders.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Childers, his daughter, Morgan Childers; three stepchildren, Timothy Bowley Jr, Jesse Bowley, and Shelby Bowley; a grandson Kingston Akins and his sister Shannon Stover. He was preceded in death by his father William Childers, his mother Sarah Childers, and his sister Jeanie Childers.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 4;00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
