John M. Courtney, 59, formerly of Fort Wayne, died March 18, 2010, at Palos Extended Care, Palos Hills, Illinois. A loving father, he was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was the son of the late John C. Courtney of Auburn, Indiana. He was a dispatcher in crew management for the Norfolk Southern Rail Road in New Haven for 30 years. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Courtney of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sarah (Ron) Perschall of Greer, South Carolina and Erin (Scott) Holland of Lockport, Illinois; and grandchildren, Evan Holland and Marilyn Perschall. Service is noon, Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Covington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior to service.
