John Howard Feasby, 86, passed peacefully with family at his side on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Born in Convoy, Ohio a son to the late Willis K. Feasby and Myrtle M. (Baker) Feasby. John was the owner of Feasby Construction. He then retired from the Power Plant Services here in Fort Wayne. John was an honorary member of Monroeville Fire Dept., having volunteered for over 52 years. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Glenna M. (Jones) Feasby of Fort Wayne; sons, Pastor Dennis (Sally) Feasby of Springfield, Missouri and Gary (Paula) Feasby of Indianapolis; daughters, Jackie Schaller of Fort Wayne and Jani Feasby-Welling of Roanoke; brother, Wayne Feasby of Payne; sisters, Cleothea "Toey" Hart and Donna Martin both of Monroeville; nine grandchildren, Eric (Jamie), Christina (Adam), Lisa (Mark), Jonelle (Dean), Jason (Katie), Jessica (Brian), Shenna (Dustin), Georgie (Brandon) and Cayla (Tyler); 18 great grandchildren, Jourdan, Jamie, Tyler L., Matthew, Kevin, Emma, Ally, Lilly, Brea, Brody, Alyvia, Preston, Conner, Jaxon, Karter, Tyler W., Jordan and Austin; and three great great grandchildren, Riley, Connor and Landan.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Paul and Jerry Feasby; and sister, Opal Marguardt.
A Celebration of John''s Life is 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 2305 Goshen Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Dale Henderson will be officiating. Following the celebration there will be time to fellowship after with a luncheon at the church. He was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to the church or Alzheimer''s Association.
