John Gregory Gotschall, 57, passed Tuesday, September 3, 2019. "Heaven got a new soccer coach today."  Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son to the late Richard L. Gotschall and Ann (Matrin) Gotschall.  John received his Bachelor's from IPFW and has worked for the same company for 33 years helping people move not just locally but internationally at Aires International.  He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.  "John was a soccer dad; he enjoyed coaching and traveled every weekend with his gals."

John is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Pamela Lynn (Fox) Gotschall; daughters, Katie (Nick) Smith, Kari (Hannah) Jehl and Karly Gotschall; granddaughters, Stella and Marlo; siblings, Barb (David) DeCaro, Mary (John) Buuck, Carol (Guiseppe) Riviera, Tom (Teresa) Gotschall and Bob (Charlene) Gotschall; and in laws, Lana Fox, Angie (Ty) Luginbill, Craig (Teri) Fox and Gary (Brenda) Fox; and nieces and nephews, Miles, Vincent, Lindsay, Sean, Marco, Jordan, Alicia, Ben, Bryce, Connor, Ashley, Chase, Lucas and Hannah.

John was also preceded in death by a young brother, William "Billy" Gotschall and father in law, Bob Fox.

Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street, New Haven, with calling one hour prior.  Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at the church.  He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to Fort Wayne Sport Club Youth Program.
