John David Jones, 71, passed Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Bethlehem Woods Nursing Home.  Born in Collinsville, Illinois he was a son to the late Clifton Louis Jones and Cordelia Elizabeth (Green) Jones.  John graduated from Central high School and then served his country in the Navy.  He retired from the Salvation Army after many years of service.

John is survived by siblings, Linda (Tim Malone) Reeves, Nancy Robinson, Betty Clauson, Catherine Elaine (Larry) Hunter and Ray (Patricia Finley-Jones) Jones; and generations of nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Gay (March) Jones, on September 10, 1993.

He will be entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens.
