John W. Miller, 62, passed away peacefully after his long and courageous illness with Multiple Scleroses. John was a native of South Bend, Indiana and was a never faltering Notre Dame fan. He served in the U.S. Air Force stationed in the Philippines and Taiwan and was trained as a Medical Laboratory Technician. He worked at The American Red Cross in Fort Wayne and later retired from Centimark Corporation.

Surviving are his wife, Dr. Heidi Ehrhardt, daughter, Alison (Miller) Pirc, Euclid, Ohio, parents, Bud and Lois Miller, Mishawaka, Indiana, brothers, Rick (Linda) Miller, Valparaiso, Indiana, Randy (Kristin) Miller, Elkhart, Indiana as well as his beloved Checkers and other mother, Angie Ehrhardt, brother-in-law, Kirk Moriarty, niece Megan Moriarty, and nephew, Matthew Ehrhardt.

Service is 11:00 a.m. Monday November 4, 2013 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Sunday November 3, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Preferred memorials to; Visiting Nurse and Hospice or Fort Wayne, Rescue Mission. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
