John William Russell, 85, peacefully went to our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Englewood Health and Rehabilitation Center. .  He was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Otto and Katherine Russell.  He proudly served his country in the Air Force. John was a retired mail handler for the Post Office.

John is survived by a special nephew, Kevin Banks; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by all his siblings, Donald Russell, MaDonna Banks, Betty Holman and Norma Hague.

John will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
