Joseph Paul Flotow, 77, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne he was the son of the late Arthur Earl Flotow and Mary Lucille (Minier) Flotow. He retired in 1992 after 60 years of service with Wolf Dessauer and L.S. Ayres. He attended Zion Lutheran School.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Loretta "Kay" (Neal) Flotow; sons, Gary (Karen) of Kendallville and Tim (Tricia) of Fort Wayne; daughter, Beth Nelson of Fort Wayne; brothers, Arthur, Richard and Charles; sisters, Phyllis Myrdock and Linda Fancil; nine grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Flotow and sisters, Delores Kinney and Patsy Hardin.

Funeral Service is 10 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to Heartland Hospice.
