Joseph "Joe" W. Hendrickson, 86, died Saturday July 14, 2012 at the Parkview Hospital. He was born November 13, 1925 in Churubusco, Indiana to the late Arthur and Stewart (Knight) Hendrickson. He was a an Army veteran of WWII having won 2 purple hearts, Victory Medal, Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal. He was a farmer and retired in 1969 from Essex Wire after 15 years service.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn (Kramer) Hendrickson, Fort Wayne, IN, son, Rodger H. (Pat) Hendrickson, Auburn, IN, grandsons, Dennis, Philip and Randy Hendrickson, He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Hendrickson and two brothers, Tom and Charles Hendrickson.
Service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling two hours prior to service. Pastor Ben Keckler officiating. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
