Joseph A. "Joe" Mrak Jr. 75, went home to be with our Heavenly Father August 4, 2015. He was born June 2, 1940 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He has lived in Ft. Wayne since 1969. He worked for Container Corporation and also Flash Fold Corporation. He went on to work at Lowes and retired from there. He was a member at St. Patrick''s Church and recently had changed his membership to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. For a period of time he was a youth minister at St. Patrick''s. He loved children and they all loved him. He used to call Bingo at U.C.T. bingo for a period of years and also called bingo at St. Patrick''s for a period of time. He was very devoted to his religious faith. He loved bowling, golf, polka music and fishing. He had served his country for 13 years as a U.S. Marine S. Sgt. He was loved by his children and grandchildren and will be missed.

Joe is survived by his wife Mary, 7 children, Mike Mrak, Ft. Wayne, Karen Mrak, Ft. Wayne, Angel Mrak, Woodburn, Steve (Debbie) Vroom, Ft. Wayne, Marvin Vroom, Missouri, Sharon (Bob) Kissinger, Kendallville, and Betty (Bob) Gilbert, Ft. Wayne. He had two brothers and two sisters surviving. Jim (Leta) Mrak, Odessa, FL, Jeanne (Fred Ely) Mrak, Lawrenceville, NJ, Sue Mrak, NJ and Nicholas Mrak, Bayville, NJ. Joe has 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his birth mother, Helen Mrak, his father, Joseph Mrak Sr., and his mother Julia and a brother John Mrak.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Friday at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
