Joseph Sweeney Jr. 82, of Fort Wayne, died November 2, 2008 at home. Born October 11, 1926 in Fort Wayne, he was an Army veteran and had worked at General Electric for 42 years. He is survived by a sister, Marion Boerger; nephews, Mark(Brenda) Boerger and Lynn Smith; a niece, Pam (Kevin) Birch. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday with calling two hours prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
