Obituary

Joseph R. Moulton, 89, went home to his Lord August 8, 2012. He was born June 28, 1923 in Denver, IN to the late Lawrence and Marjorie Moulton. He graduated in 1941 from Jefferson Twp. High School, Mexico, IN Joe was drafted September 3, 1943 and served as 50 Caliber Aeriel Gunnery Instructor in Kingman, Arizona. On June 29, 1944 he married Evelyn Maxine Jones. Upon discharge March 6, 1946 they returned to Indiana where he worked as a block operator for the railroad. He became a train dispatcher until retirement in 1983. Joe received Jesus as his Savior in 1947 and was baptized in the Prairie Gravel Pit now part of Prairie Church in Waynedale, IN. He was instrumental in founding and was a charter member of the Westridge Baptist Church which later became the Oak Park Church. He enjoyed playing on his church softball team, fishing, camping, traveling, and gardening. Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Maxine, a brother, Jean Moulton, 5 nieces and 7 nephews. Service is 11:00 a.m. Monday August 13, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 30 minutes prior to service. Pastor Joe Osborne officiating.
