Joyce Joan Jackson, 83 passed Tuesday, August 13, 2019 with family by her side.  She was born in St. Joseph County, on September 14, 1935 to the late Frank and Nora Espich.  She had worked at Magnavox, Value City Department Store and in her retirement she volunteered at the Voting Poles around Fort Wayne.  Joyce was formerly of Ashley, Indiana where she lived with her late son, Robert; she then moved to Kendallville, with her granddaughter, Dana (Joshua) Dickey to take care of her.  They were inseparable, going out to eat, shopping, or just hanging out.  Joyce will be remembered as a loving and kind hearted grandmother.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Alfred, Ernest and Ronald Shirely; sister in law, Pat; several grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by husband, Charles Jackson, on December 25, 1994; sons, Robert and Mark Shirely; daughter, Peggy Sue Wicker; and sister, Mary Booth.

Joyce will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2019 with a graveside service.  Family and friendswill gather inside the funeral home from 10 a.m., till the graveside side.
