Judith "Judy" Caroline Dewitt, 83, passed Friday, October 25, 2019. She was born on Sunday, July 5, 1936, in rural Allen County at home, she was a daughter to the late Glen Baldwin and Dortha (Myers) Baldwin. She graduated from Leo High School. Judy married her late husband, Eldon Eugene Dewitt, July 16, 1955 and they spent 63 devoted years together. Judy was member of the Grabill Missionary Church. She prepared taxes and was an accountant at Wagner & Assoc. retiring in, 2011.
Judy is survived by children, Richard Dewitt of Fort Wayne, Nancy (Mike) Plank of Spencerville; son in law, Terry Brindle; siblings, Joseph (Joan) Baldwin and Mary Ann Reynold; sister in law, Ruth Baldwin; 8 granddaughters, Michele (Chad) Handwork, Mandi (Marshall) Oliver, Sarah (Jonathan) Kline, Erin (Zach) Tate, Charity (Dan) O'Dell Lauren Dewitt, Renee Ayres and Dara Plank; and 14 great-grandchildren, Sean, Adam, Josh, Brianna, Ryan, Allison, Michael, Eliana, Noah, Malachi, Brooke-Lynn, Jordan, Kaleb, and Kobe.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Eugene Dewitt, on February 11, 2019; her daughter, JoAnn Brindle, on April 28, 2017; and brothers, Robert Baldwin and John Baldwin.
Funeral Service is 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling three hours prior. Officiating will be Pastors Gary Gates and Doug Thomas. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
