Karen U. Langston, 81, went home to her Lord Sunday, October 30, 2016. Karen was the first daughter born November 3, 1934 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Carlton and Mildred Kirbach. She was a 1954 graduate of South Side High School and began to work at Lincoln National Bank. Later in life Karen was a hostess at McDonalds Stellhorn Rd and also worked at Sears Tela-Catalog until their last day of business. Karen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was active in Young at Heart at N.E. Christian Church and Bible Study Fellowship.

Surviving are her children, Timothy E. (Carole) Langston, Tamara J. (Steve) Cole, sister, Kay (Robert) Welker, 5 grandchildren, Danny, Tyler, Amanda, Sarah, Emily. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edgar Langston and 2 siblings, Bea Branning and Keith Kirbach.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 5, 2016 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with viewing from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
