Karen Sue Shively, 75, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Parkview Randallia Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Karen was a daughter to the late Clifford Vernon Richmond and Joann Lillian (Susan) Locke. She was a 1966 graduate of Southside High School. Karen married Maurice Richard Shively on May 4, 1966 and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2019. She was the owner and operator of Bear's Cleaning Service, retiring in 2015. Karen was a past member of Southside Church of God. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting. Surviving are her children, JoAnna (Rex Douglas) Kogin, Maurice Shively Jr., and Maurisa (Keith) Huffman; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike Richmond and Gary Richmond. Karen was also preceded in death by grandson, Keith James Huffman Jr.; and brother, Dan Richmond. Arrangements entrusted to Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
