Karl Kurt Keuneke, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Coventry Meadows. The Army veteran was a member of the American Legion Post 241. He retired from Franke Plating Works in 1994 after 40 years of service and then retired from Bushey''s after 16 years of service, in 2010.

He is survived by his sons, Owen (Mick) Stiles and Kent (Cindy) Keuneke both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Marsha (Jeff) Seitz of Fort Wayne; brother, Roland (Mick) Keuneke of Fort Wayne; and his pride and joy six grandchildren, Kelli Faulkner, Jodi Stiles, Scott Seitz, Chad Keuneke, Ryan Keuneke and Kyle Keuneke; and the twinkle of his eyes five great grandchildren, Samantha Pennington, Connor Pennington, Tabitha Faulkner, Avery Keuneke and Oliver Keuneke.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Lois Joan (Payne) Keuneke in 1994; parents, Otto and Helen Keuneke; step mother, Virginia Keuneke; six brothers, Otto, Stan, Bill, Harry, Howard and Ralph Keuneke; and one sister, Evelyn Bender.

Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
