Karlene L. Kruckeberg, 66, of Fort Wayne passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at her residence.  She was born December 15, 1954 in Fort Wayne a daughter of the late Harry and Ramona (Soest) Zimmerman.  Karlene was a graduate of New Haven High School and she was vice president of H K & F Heating and Air Conditioning.  She was a member of DeKalb County Horseman's Association.  Karlene enjoyed her horses very much.  Surviving is her husband, George Steven Kruckeberg; son, George Steven (Christy) Kruckeberg, II; son-in-law, Michael Kipp; brother, Harry Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Nancy Thompson; grandchildren, Michael Kipp; Tyler Kipp; Kelsie Kipp; Shelby Kruckeberg; and Ace Kruckeberg. She was preceded in death by step daughter, Kelly Kipp.  Funeral service is 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Covington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with visitation one hour prior.  Visitation will also be 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, February 15, 2021 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.  Memorial donations may be made to DeKalb County Horseman's Association.
