Katherine M. (Payne) Hayes, 87, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at her home. Katherine was born June 18, 1925 in Soddy Daisy, TN to the late Howard and Mary Payne. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Katherine was a caregiver at Woodview Health Care for over 40 years.

Surviving are her children, Barbara Nickle, Kelly J. Hayes- Brotherton, Kathy (David) Tracy, Carin Cole, all of Ft. Wayne, IN, sister, Judy Walker, Soddy Daisy, TN, 5 Grandchildren, Brandy, John, Camron, Mark, Matthew and 20 Great-grandchildren, Truman, Trevor, Katie, Vickie, John, Dominic, Keagan, Jacob, Izabella, Elijah, Kilib, Austin, Mark, Miles, Sabrina, Danyael, Terry, Cobain, Sebastian, Grace and Grand Cats, Onyx, Kizmet, Zoey, and long time family friend, Sue Snider. She was preceded in death by her Husband Matthew Hayes, Son, Jim Hayes and a Brother Jack Payne.

Memorial Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday May 24, 2013 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
