Obituary

Kathleen E. Gronau, 86, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Parkview Hopsital. Born in Fort Wayne on October 29, 1925, she was the daughter to the late George and Vernon Corville. She attended St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She retired from Ajax with over 18 years of service. She was a member of the VFW #857, American Legion Post #82 and the Eagles. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, we love and will miss you.
She is survived by her daughters, Tanna (Dick) Lehmbeck, Cindy (Jeff) Rife both of Fort Wayne, Deborah (Mike) Donahue of Land O Lakes, Florida; son, Greg (Rose) Gronau of Brazil, Indiana; companion of 17 years, Harry "Gene" Hicks; sisters, Mary Jane France and Phyllis Deitering; ten grandchildren, Tracy Lehmbeck, Heather Lyons, Shamra Coposky, Greg Archer, Brandon Gronau, Katrina Donahue, Justin Donahue, Jenny Bell, Sam Gronau and Lindsey Rife; and 12 great grandchildren, Amanda Lehmbeck, Amber Lyons, Gary Lyons, Chellsea Lyons, Shaylin Odier, Madison Odier, Payton Bell, Cole Bell, Colton Archer, Audrey Archer, Brynn Noelle Gronau.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Norman Gronau of 1991.
Service is 2 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Dale Henderson will be officiating. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to Turnstone, 3320 North Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46805.
