Kathleen M. McCoy, "Kathy", 61, of Ft. Wayne passed away peacefully with family present on July 2, 2010 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Born in Amsterdam, NY., she was the daughter of Ruth Edwards and the late George V. Edwards. She enjoyed reading, doing crafts and the music of the Junkyard Band. She fought a good fight, she has finished her course, she has kept the faith. Surviving are husband of 32 years, Charles McCoy, daughter, Melissa McCoy, son, Michael (Rhonda) McCoy, grandchildren, Rileigh and Nathan, sisters, Marguerite Williams and Carol (Dan) Hofer, Ft. Wayne, Elaine Edwards, Lewisville, TX, brothers, Gary and Jim (Sheila) Edwards, Ft. Wayne, John (Janice) Edwards, Dayton, OH. She was preceded in death by her son Jason. In lieu of flowers, Kathy prefers donations be made to the Compassionate Friends or the Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Ctr. Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
