Kathleen E. "Kathy" Cater, 48, died Sunday, April 13, 2014. She was born in Ft. Wayne, to the late Maclyn and Helen MacKay. Kathy was a devoted homemaker and dedicated to her family. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church Arcola.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Cater, children, Erin, Matthew, Megan, Amy, Jack Cater, siblings, Janet (Michael) Galbraith, John MacKay. She was preceded in death by a brother, Maclyn MacKay.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 12305 Arcola Rd. with calling from 10 - 11 a.m. There will be calling Wednesday April 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd.
