Keith M Yarnelle, 73, of Ft. Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 17, 2024. He was born in Ft. Wayne on August 22, 1951, a son of the late James P. Yarnelle Sr. and Rita M. Lassus Yarnelle.

He worked for Lassus Brothers Oil, his mother's family oil business from 1968 to 1985. Keith co-owned the Green Frog Inn from 1985 to 1989. He then worked at Polar King Refrigeration 1989 to 1992, he finally retired from Anthony Wayne Vending from 1992 to 2015.

He attended The Cathedral for grade school, and graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1970. Keith took a course in heating and air conditioning and obtained Bunn certification in 1996.

In his spare time, he enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing, wood working and drag racing.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary C. Yarnelle; children Kelly L. Yarnelle, Jeffrey M. (Marcial Betancourt) Yarnelle; granddaughter, Baylee K. Craig; siblings, William (Susan) Yarnelle, Edward (Deceased- Elizabeth J. Byron) Yarnelle, Kenneth (Donna) Yarnelle, and Larry (Darlene) Yarnelle; sister-in-law, Judy Yarnelle. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by brother, James P. Yarnelle Jr; sister-in-law, Elizabeth J. Byron; and niece Ann Marie Yarnelle; and beloved dog, Scooter.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.
