Kenneth Paul Erne, went to be with his Lord, on Thursday, February 26, 2015, under Heartland Hospice Care at Lutheran Life Villages. He was the son of the late, Dewey and Esther (Korn) Erne. He graduated from South Side High School, in 1939. He then served in the United Marine Corp in the South Seas. He retired from Transworld Airlines after 36 years of dedicated employment. Kenneth loved the outdoors and was involved in golf and bowling according to the seasons. He was involved in dog training and obedience trials with his well loved dog Ricky.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Krausz) Erne; sons, Kenneth, Jr., (Sharon Smith) Erne, from Panama City, Fla., and David "Scott" (Kyla Blazek) Erne of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Michelle (Erne) Haynes; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Connor Haynes from Soo Saint Marie, Canada; and dear friend, Janice Garringer.

Kenneth will be laid to rest 11:00 a.m., April 25, 2015 at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, with military honors.
