Kenneth O. Imel, 83, passed away on August 18, 2024.

He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on August 17, 1941, a son of the late Ora and Agnes Imel.

He owned and operated Imel Battery until his retirement in 2021.

In his spare time, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, FOX News, trains, snowmobiling, and slot car racing.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nadine Imel; children, Brenda (Patrick) Martin, Nancy (Todd) Wilburn, and Rhonda (Josh) Luna; grandchildren, Brittany, Trent, Andrianna, Austin, Jena, Gabrielle, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Everett, Elena, Asher, Kezlin, Marianna, and Camden; siblings, Marlene Durick, Ronald and Richard Imel.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Madonna "Donna" Deaton.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804 with calling one hour prior.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, also at the funeral home.
