Larry Charles Bennett, 71, died unexpectedly at home on October 9, 2022. Larry was the son of the late Merle and Martha Bennett.

He graduated from Northside High School and earned his degree in history and teaching from St. Francis College. Larry worked for 43 years at Parkview Hospital; where he impacted many lives. Larry enjoyed classic cars, cheering for the New York Yankees and IU basketball and caring for his macaw parrot, Jimmy. He enjoyed a happy, peaceful retirement for nine years prior to his death.

Larry is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jo; brother, Calvin (Vicki) Keokuk of Coldwater, MI., daughter; Cori (Don) Wyss , grandchildren Andrew and Addison from Ft, Wayne, IN., Nephews Keith (Colleen) of Carmel, IN., Kurt of Charles Town, WV., Niece Corrie (Joe) Collins of Howe, IN., and a number of great nieces and nephews and friends.

Services will be on Monday October 24, 2022 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46804 at 12:00 P.M. Visitation will be on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Burial will follow service on Monday at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be to Parkview NICU or Saint Francis College.
