Larry D. Brockmeyer, 76, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Larry was a son of the late Kenneth and Delores (Moore) Brockmeyer. He was a graduate of South Side High School and received his associates degree from Ivy Tech. He then earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Larry served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He married Carol Reber in 1969 and she survives. Larry worked as a foreman at DANA for 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed working on vehicles, watching football and NASCAR. Larry is survived by his wife, Carol Brockmeyer; children, Terri (John) Johnson, Jennifer Fitzwater and Jeffrey Brockmeyer; brothers, Bruce Brockmeyer and Steve Brockmeyer; and grandchildren, Claire Johnson, Jack Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Joshua Fitzwater and Nathaniel Fitzwater. Funeral service 1:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, Thursday, March 28, 2024 with visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors.
