Lawrence S. Amidon, 61, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday May 31, 2008 at Hospice Home. He was born Oct. 11, 1946 in Saint Johnsbury VT the son of the late Merton & Annetta Amidon. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1989 after 23 years of services and has spent the past 19 years working for ITT Corp. He is survived by his wife, Rita C. Amidon of Fort Wayne; son, John A. (Tina) Amidon of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla and Brooke; brother, Frank Amidon of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Ruth Larose of Saint Johnsbury, VT. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd.
