Lawrence E. Raber, 81, died Saturday December 31, 2011 at the Lutheran Hospital. Born April 9, 1930 to the late Sylvester B. and Helen L. Raber, Larry worked at Dana Corporation for 35 years retiring in 1990. He was an Army Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Gwendolyn L. Raber, Ft. Wayne, IN, son, Larry Lee Raber, Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter, Beth Lynn Yoder, Ft. Wayne, IN, sister, Carol Jean Stanek, grandchildren, Ryan, Molly, Megan, Rachel, great-grandchildren, Mason, Kiya and Kelaney. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Lester Raber. Per Mr. Rabers request there is no calling. There is a Memorial Service planned for January 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly Church of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Rd. Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating. Covington Memorial Funeral Home assisting family with arrangements.
