Lawrence "Larry" Watkins, 87, passed away Monday October 15, 2013. He was born May 7, 1926 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Howard and Irene Watkins. Larry retired from the Tokheim Corporation after 35 plus years of service. He was a member of the Anthony Wayne Church of God, Tokheim Quarter Century Club and an Army Veteran of WWII.

Surviving are his nieces, Sandy (David) Carpenter, Cindy Mertz, and several great-nieces and nephews and best friend Viola Edger. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Watkins in 1981, siblings, Howard, Robert, Lucy and Maryana and a nephew Gary Mertz.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials to Anthony Wayne Church of God.
