Leo E. Hile Sr. 81 passed away February 8, 2018.  Leo was born June 7, 1936 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Homer and Winfred Hile.  He was an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 47 & 499 and the Mizpah Shrine and F&A Masons.  Leo retired from Dana Corportion as an inspector after serving 41 years.  He was a High School Referee for IHSAA many years.

Surviving are his children, Karen Gramling, Susan (Steven) Fitton, Lisa (Greg) Pyne, Donna (Doug Swygart) Haller, Matt (Heidi) Hile, 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hile, in 2017; son, Leo, Jr.; 4 siblings,  Tony, Lucille, Dorothy and Ilene; and a great-great-grandson, Jacob.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd., with viewing 1 hour prior to service.  Calling is also Monday at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There will be a Masonic Service during the visitation at 7 p.m.   Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Preferred memorials are to The Shriner's Hospital for Children or Heartland Hospice.
