Leonard R. "Bud" Woods, age 78, passed away Sunday Aug. 2 in Ft Wayne. He was born June 10, 1931 to Basil L. and Agnes E. Beard Woods in Ft. Wayne, and they preceded him in death. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and an Army Veteran. He was a member of Christ''s Hope Ministries & Church, as well as being a Past Master of Home Lodge/Summit City F&AM # 170. He was a Past Patron of Shiloh Chapter/Star of the East O.E.S, member of Valley of Ft. Wayne Scottish Rite, the Mizpah Shrine and Past Grand of I.O.O.F. He also was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees (N.A.R.F.E.), a 50+ year member of National Association of Letter Carriers #116, and Past President of Lawton Park Little League. He married Holly Ann Breece on September 22, 1951 and she survives him along with their son Timothy Woods, daughters Barbara Woods and Jennifer Nicholson, grandchildren Michelle (Chad) Monize and Todd (Micah) Nicholson, and great grandchildren Luke, Drew, Evan, Gabriel and Maya Monize and Grace Nicholson. Funeral Services will be Thursday August 6, 10:00 am at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation Wednesday August 5 from 2-4 and 6- 8:00 pm. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:30pm on Wednesday. The family''s preferred memorials are North East Cancer Services and Mizpah Temple Hospital Unit Van Fund.
