Leonard Ellis Mauzy, 88, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully the evening of October 28.  He was born April 5, 1933 in Warsaw, Indiana to the late Leonard and Lillian (Shroyer) Mauzy.

Leonard grew up in rural Kosciusko county on a farm.  He graduated from North Webster High School.  In 1952 he married his high school sweetheart, Norma; they were together until her passing in 2011.  For 38 years, Leonard worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier, retiring in 1996.  He was an avid sports fan, especially of basketball, a devoted member of Lake Chapel United Methodist Church, and was always reading through old yearbooks.  Leonard was a devoted family man and loved them all dearly; he will be missed by many.

Leonard is survived by his son, Dan Mauzy; daughters-in-law, Toye and Nancy; grandchildren, Jason (Jody) Beaupre, Cassandra, Nicole, Michael, and Patric Mauzy; great grandchildren, Brinley, Drew, Brayton, and Leonard; sisters-in-law, Maureen, and Brenda Mauzy; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Norma, Leonard was preceded in death by his sons, Dave and Duke; and siblings, Lorene, Larry, and Terry.

Family will receive friends from 10:00am - 12:00 Thursday, November 4 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, with service to follow at 12:00pm; to be officiated by Pastor Harold Klinker.
