Leroy Glass, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home with his family at his side. Born in Helena, Arkansas to the late Charles and Sylvia Kendrix on December 25, 1927, however he was raised then by Ruben and Alice Glass. He was employed with Mitchell Sales and Storage and retired from Wolfe Mattress where he ended his career as a Truck Driver and Warehouse Manager.
He leaves to cherish his memory a dedicated wife and loving wife of 40 years, Allie; three sons, Terrence Glass, Kevin and Joseph Jones all of Fort Wayne; five daughters, Kimberly (Delonzo) Myles, Paulette ( Danny) Nellems, and Rochelle (Rommel) Dickey all of Fort Wayne, Edna Earl Henderson of Memphis, TN, Sherida (Daniel) Edwards of Ellenwood, GA; three sisters, Charlene Love and Ethel Sadberry of St. Louis, MO and Bertha Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; special friend, Janice Richardson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was sadly preceded in death by a son, Steven D. Jones, one brother, two sisters, and a son-in-law.
Service is 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. He will be entombed in St. Paul Mausoleum at Covington Memorial Gardens.
