Obituary

LeRoy Winchester, 79, of New Haven, passed Saturday, February 25, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne he was a son to the late, Austin and Anna Winchester. LeRoy was a man who kept busy; he was the owner and operator to many businesses, Winchester Builders, Paws Pugs and with his family Moped City. He attended New Haven Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, James (Tina) Winchester of Bluffton, Rick (Kaye) Winchester of Denton, Texas, Brad (Carol) Drew of Mesa, Arizona, David (Tracy) Drew of New Haven, Tamra (Stuart) Stier of Leo and Melissa (Nathan) Benton of Fort Wayne; brother, Henry "Hank"; sisters, Irene (the late, William) Jones, Mary Alice (Hubert) Williams and Carol Ann (Eugene) Rice; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon and Norman Winchester; and a sister, Juanita Fletcher.

Service is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., with calling two hours prior to service. Officiating will be Pastor Dave Trimble. Calling also from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to the New Haven Baptist Church-building fund.
