Lewis L. Schnepp, 84, of Lake George, died Thursday Jan. 22, 2009 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehab in Angola, IN. He was born Jan, 14, 1925 in Decatur, IN. He was a retired welder from Fort Wayne Truck Engineering after 47 years of employment and a WW II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran. He also was a member of American Legion Post 296, Moose Lodge in New Haven and the NRA. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Melchi Schnepp of Lake George; son, Lon (Lynn) Schnepp of Trenton, MI; daughters, Sue (Dennis) Spitler of Fort Wayne, Pam (Tony) Wiedemann of New Haven and Kay (Mike) Caccamo of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Kenneth Schnepp; and a sister, Marcia Neukom. Service 11 a.m. Monday with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd.
