On December 27, 2021 Linda Kay Alday passed away peacefully at the age of 76 with her daughter and daughter -in-law by her side.  Linda was the biological mother of two children, son Raymond Jacob Alday and daughter Kathy Lyn Alday.  However, many considered Linda their surrogate mother.

Linda owned a daycare for most of her working career. She touched the lives of many, many children, keeping in touch with most of them over the years. She always ensured that every child that crossed her threshold was safe, happy and healthy.  She was a caregiver to all throughout her life.

Christmas was Linda's favorite holiday, she would decorate as early as possible and go all out with everything from lights, Santa's and Nutcrackers of every shape and size. She would lavish all with many gifts and the best holiday treats and dinners.

Linda was proceeded in death by her husband William R. Alday in July of 2021.  She is survived by her son Raymond Alday and spouse Anne of Ft. Wayne, In and Daughter Kathy Alday and spouse Brenda of Las Vegas, NV. along with her grandchildren, Timothy Leitch, Amber Kluesner, Brittany Crago and husband Dan, and Cassandra Alday, great grandchildren Odailen, Dalstyn, Gracelyn, Brayden, Bryce and Jaxon.

Linda and Dick relocated to Las Vegas, NV a year and a half ago to live with their daughter and daughter-in-law and dear friend or companion in crime David Heckman.  Linda enjoyed the variety of dining choices and taking drives to take in all the scenery and lights while drinking her latte.

Linda will be missed by everyone she touched.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am - 12:00pm Thursday, January 6 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, with service to follow at 12:00pm, and entombment at 1:00pm, also at Covington Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens.
