Lloyd Herman Witte, 79, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Regency Place. Born here in Fort Wayne, he was the son to the late Herman and Luella (Geisert) Witte. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean conflict and was a member of the American Legion #241, and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. #85 and D.A.V. He was a patrol officer with the F.W.P.D and later in life worked for Dana.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Witte; sons and daughters in law, Ross and Robin of Fort Wayne, Roger and Kristi of Woodburn and Brad and Kelli of Leo; daughter and son in law, Brenda and Matt Moran of Leo; half brother, Don Overla of Florida; half sister, Pat Zimmerman of Arizona; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Brianna, Nicole and Meghan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, February 22, 2012.
