Loren Dean Sheetz, 84, passed peacefully, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with family at his side.  Born in Akron, Indiana, he was a son to the late Leon and Hazel (Marsh) Sheetz.  Loren was a farmer and he also was the owner and operator of The Local Printer.

He is survived by children, Douglas (Karleen) Sheetz of Columbia City, Jill Lane of Fort Wayne, Amanda (Ehren) Gerdes of Columbia City and Todd (Cindy) Sheetz; grandchildren, Maekenzie Sheetz, Kelzie Pratt, Adam and Nick Sheetz; and a brother, Larry Sheetz of Plymouth.

Loren was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 30 years, Susan JoAnn Cook-Sheetz, on October 5, 2016.

Private services were held for the family.  He was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
