Loyd G. Denson, 88, died Thursday January 22, 2015. He was born August 7, 1926 in Delight, Arkansas to the late Lloyd and Illie Denson. Loyd was a Navy veteran and a member of V.F.W. and American Legion. He worked and retired for the City of Fort Wayne in Water Polution Control Dept. for 20 years. Loyd enjoyed the time Frances and he spent at the lake motoring about on his pontoon "S.S. Loyd".

Surviving are his wife Frances J. Denson, son Richard (Robin) Barrand and daughter Denise A. (Pete) Spangler, 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Delaney, Jason, Jon, 6 great-grandchildren, Dominic, Calista, Jasmine, Skyler, Coral, Lily, sisters, Hazel (Robert) Westland and brother in law Virgil Van Horn. He was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Van Horn.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorial are to; Family Life Care or Alzheimer Association or Summit City Nursing & Rehab. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
