Lucile Loraine McKibbin, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at home. Born in Aberdeen, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Ruby A. (Preston) Bloom. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and had retired from Lane Middle School as the treasurer and secretary.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri Day of Fort Wayne, Lisa (Jerry) Champion of Fremont and Linda (L.D.) Culbert of Paradise, Michigan; sisters, Doris Palmer, Brenda (James) Jamison and Rubye Anne (Steve) Saltzgiver; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, George Dean McKibbin, in 1995; brother, Walter Bloom, Jr.; and sisters, Betty Morris and Gloria Coakley.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Diabetes Association.
