IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Luella I.
Richardson
August 20, 1924 – April 26, 2021
Luella Eileen Richardson, 96, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on April 26, 2021, at the place she loved best, her lake home. She was born August 20, 1924 in Hoagland, Indiana to Charles and Norma Rexroth, and grew up through the Great Depression. During WWII, she helped make aircraft headsets at General Electric in Fort Wayne. She married Herbert Richardson in 1945, and had three children with him. Later, she worked for Homestead High School in the cafeteria, where she was well known for her cookies. She loved doing all kinds of projects with her husband, from furniture refinishing and upholstery to building entire dwellings, and they renovated and resold several houses before "flipping" was a thing. Always putting others before herself, every gathering was a feast of delectable dishes and pies, which was one of her great gifts to the family she dearly loved. Never one to sit still, her final years were spent caring for her home and garden.
She is survived by her daughters Pamela (Rock) Finlayson of Fort Wayne, Sondra France of Acworth, Georgia, Darla (Reed) Sprunger of Indianapolis, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband;her five siblings: Hazel, Raymond, Versa, Carl and Betty; and son-in-law, David France.
